About the Program

My Background

In 2008 I was diagnosed with neck cancer…It was the first time in my life that I had to depend on someone else. It was a very humbling experience. Being grateful for the gift of life, and realizing how it is to suffer, I decided to start The Gift of Mobility Program for those who are in need

The program has grown in leaps and bounds, getting bigger every year.

I don’t believe the state and government leaders are aware of how big a problem this is.

Chair Recipients

Recipients are selected by the severity of their disability and the matching of a correct chair to fit their needs. . There is absolutely NO charge for any of these chairs.

Yearly the chairs are given away at the Holiday Inn in Norwich, CT on (the second Sunday in December). Every year the Holiday Inn in Norwich, Connecticut, donates a luxurious banquet room for this purpose. I can’t thank them enough.

All recipients chosen must show up in person at the Holiday Inn to be fitter properly for the chair and must provide their own means of transportation to bring the chair home. I have volunteers on hand to help load them on trucks and vans

Throughout the year if someone is in dire need and we have a chair that is ready to go we donate that as well.

Donating a Chair

If you have a chair that is no longer needed, please email me at FastCash@AZPawn.net

You can drop it off any time, or I will arrange to have a volunteer pick it up within a 40-mile radius of Norwich, CT.
